Ninety percent of our personal problems come from the limitations of the conditioning we received as we were growing up. We are capable of far more than our parents, grandparents, or peers could imagine.

Challenge your own beliefs, especially about yourself. It's one of the fastest ways to grow.

Take good care of your body. It will literally last you a lifetime. Do you want to die early? Then don't take care of your body.

You tend to become like the people and ideas you hang around with.

The corrollary: If you want a better life, hang around with a better class of ideas. The people part will come.

Accepting full responsibility for your actions, words, and thoughts is the fastest way to gain success.

The corrollary: Avoiding responsibility is accepting a distraction from your success. It doesn’t work. Distractions or excuses just slow you down.

Being normal is where people hide out who lack self-confidence.

Having feelings bounce around inside your head is not the same as actual and deliberate thinking.

Our self-talk drives our destinies.

If we talk well to ourselves, we can muster the courage to try greater things. If we listen to the weaker sides of our minds that expresses lazy thoughts then we defeat our goodness. And we end up dying too early. If your self-talk is weak, learn how to talk better to yourself. There are many sources of motivation available. It's true: Our self-talk drives our destinies.

I think the great majority of the dysfunctionalness of any family comes from those who are in their teens through their 40s. That's when people are the most emotional and undeveloped. When we get beyond that age, we begin to see ourselves and the people around us in a different light. We can forget the anger over hurts. Why carry that burden around for the rest of your life?

When you're depressed, you ruminate, you mull it over and think it through, until you figure it out. Sometimes you have to change something and sometimes you have to change yourself.

We learn more by trying than by endlessly preparing.

You don't see your problems while you shy away from them. When you take one step closer, you see more details and sometimes the way to solve the problem becomes a lot clearer, so you know how to proceed further. But without that first step forward, you'd still be held back by fear of the complexity of the problem. That complexity can be daunting. It can produce fear, which is what holds all of us back from a more fulfilling life. I don't say a 'more perfect life' because no life can be perfect. Nor should it be. The very adversities that we encounter are the challenges that we need to overcome. In overcoming them, we become so much stronger and life becomes more fulfilling. It's true that adversity builds strength.

Always be willing to face the truth, no matter what. That's how you grow stronger and better, and ultimately, happier. If you are not willing to give up a belief, even one of your most cherished beliefs, then you are not really willing to learn.

Life is for Living, not for Enduring!

The only thing between you and your goals is the quality of your beliefs. The only thing between you and your success is the quality of your beliefs.

The difference between those who just get by in business and those who succeed very well lies in the amount of 'intelligence' they put into their business.

Only when a system (or human) is under stress do you test its strength -- and simultaneously, it is the only time you develop its strength.

I am a growth oriented individual. If what I say helps you step outside of being "normal" and you are uncomfortable with that, then you may judge it (and me) as being "wrong."

We all have mentors, all around us. They are called quotations. When I read a quote from another person, I get a glimpse of a lesson they have learned. It seems to me that there is a never-ending list of lessons to be learned about Life. As I pause to think about each quotation, I get a glimpse of one lesson that person has learned.

The only way you are going to die and wake up someplace else is through science, not wishful thinking.

Only when YOU are under stress do you test YOUR strength. Simultaneously, it is the only time you develop your strength. (1974)

Being normal is where people hide out who lack self confidence.

It does not matter WHEN you wake up. It only matter that you did wake up.

The only thing between you and your goals is the quality of your beliefs. The only thing between you and your success is the quality of your beliefs.

Life is for Living, not for enduring.

If you want to change your present situation, you need an influx of new ideas.

Really smart people review their habits and deliberately decide to change them to fit their goals.

You are capable of much more than you try.

Fear

Life is too wonderful to waste in fear.

Every time you face your fears, you get a little stronger. Run from your fears and you get weaker. So try to be stronger.

Do that which you fear. It's the only way to grow.

Every time you face your fears, you get a little stronger. Run from your fears and you get weaker. So try to be stronger.

Changing

You must take away your crutches before you start learning how to walk on your own.

If you raise your personal level of awareness, your level of wisdom, your level of understanding of yourself, to a level that is high enough, then you will see SOLUTIONS for EVERY PROBLEM you have.

If you are not willing to give up a belief, even one of your most cherished beliefs, then you are not really willing to learn.

Always be willing to face the truth, no matter what. That's how you grow stronger and better, and ultimately, happier.

You don't see your problems while you shy away from them. When you take one step closer, you see more details and sometimes the way to solve the problem becomes a lot clearer, so you know how to proceed further.

One test of how well you are using your mind is: How willing are you to change one of your beliefs or habits when you are presented with sufficient evidence of a better way to think? Another test is how much do you use your mind on EVERY problem you face, not just the intellectual or easy ones?

Really smart people review their habits and deliberately decide to change them to fit their goals.

If you want to change your present situation, you need an influx of new ideas.

You must take away your crutches before you start learning how to walk on your own.

I suggest you will grow faster if you let reality in. Don't force your beliefs onto reality. Don't filter reality through your beliefs. Don't try to make everyone else conform to your beliefs. Instead, let reality in. Conform your beliefs to reality. In your personal life, you will succeed faster if you conform your beliefs to the reality around you. It's not called giving up. It's called growing up.

Time

My only problem is Time, as in not-enough-of. But I'm sure you've met that monster. As we get older, we hear a swooshing sound creeping up on us. Tis the sound of the grains of sand in our personal hourglasses rushing through that narrow opening to slip out of our hands forever. I just wish I could flip that puppy upside down!

WASTE the MINUTES of your life and one day you'll wake up and wonder where the YEARS went.

A great deal of our misery stems from moments of leisure which were abused.

The only way you are going to die and wake up someplace else is through science, not wishful thinking.

The day you fail to exercise means you are one day closer to death.
